Man O War Motorsprocket 34 TOOTH TWIN CAM 2007-16

Thanks . Let me know if you find the clatter. Do you still have the Harley Slip & Slide clutch?

No, I hated it. Always felt it wasn't grabbing right. Running a Bandit Sportsman.

LOl, as you can see, not much stock in the primary....or for that matter anywhere.

Got one sitting on the bench. Waiting on new primary chain and other stuff. Can’t wait to try it. Looks more modern in design than the decades-old H-D comp.

I’ll let y’all know…

Man-O-War

Finally got back on the road. That Man-O-War comp is awesome!

No big clunk when I drop it into gear. More of a gentle “snick”. Shifting seems smoother. No rattle when I shut it off. Also no rattle when warming up. They recommend using the OE spring adjuster, so that’s what I’m using.

It seems to work fine with the Rekluse clutch also.

Color me a happy camper.

Good report, be sure to post with more miles on;)

Darkhorse compensator

I replaced the stock SE comp on my 2013 at 14.000 mi. with a man-o-war unit along with a Hayden primary chain adjuster. Also replaced the clutch with an Alto carbon fiber kit that eliminated slip and chatter. I have a little over 1500 miles on the setup and can say I'm happy with the results.

It has eliminated the clunk on deceleration and shut off and is smoother shifting. I have noticed there is a slight lash noise when not under torque especially when running 6th gear unless you get on it. I originally installed it with the stock tensioner and it was not as quite as I had expected so replaced it with the Hayden. I'm running full synthetic Motol primary fluid and the clutch grabs instantly, some have said run ATF which I would think would be nosier. Any opinions on that would be appreciated. As far as the Darkhorse comp I think its a great improvement and was excited to visit there shop and to talk with the guys.

Darkhorse Man O War

I have a couple thousand miles on it now, still as awesome as the day I put it in. Starting is easier, especially when hot. Less primary rattle too. I think my combination of Man O War, Rekluse clutch, and mechanical reverse is all money well spent. They all seem to work fine together.Easy on the left forearm in traffic, easy parking without the horrible noise of that electric reverse motor and the big jump back!
