When the "LOW RANGE" warning appears on your odometer, how far have you been able to drive. Yesterday mine came on and I drove about 5 miles to get home. Today I rode 2 miles down to the station to fill it up and it took 5.5 gallons. This means that I still had about 15 miles or so left.

we have gone 23 miles after light came on but we filled 5.7 gallons way to close for us we were coming back from Shanksville memorial and got detoured.

When the low range came on my 2011 Tri.. I had a gallon left...And rode 25 miles it took 5.9 gallons Was i cutting it close , Yes and no i had a gallon and a half extra tank in the trunk so i kept on passing gas stations just to see how far i could go..Before i chickened out....:)..

On my 17 i have a low fuel light then it asks if i want to find the closest gas station( all on the radio ,not speaking to me LOL) and it says i have 50 miles on reserve and i have road 10 miles and have never put more than 5 to 5.2 gallons in, So if i keep driving will a low range light appear?

We start looking at 130-140 I think we could safely go to 160 but just to be safe 140 is usually it. . However we have more opportunities to fill up around here.:good: Fred

Yes.........

I almost always try to fuel before 1/4. I have let the low fuel light come on before but within 15 or 20 miles have always gotten fuel. I don't recall the max I have ever pumped on those rare occasions. I do know my tank lift threw my gauge off slightly.

The fuel gauge means nothing to me It's the "miles" I pay close attention. You know to never trust a fuel gauge on a motorcycle learned that 50 years ago. LOL... (long Walk) ride safe Fred
