Hey Gang! Brought home my new Gold Wing trike on Monday!! Picked her up in Chattanooga on Saturday. My s/o rode her back for me. I'm a newbie rider still and I am riding on a temporary permit. So I drove my van behind the trike and got to admire how pretty she is and how great she handles. We got stuck for a day and a half in southern Kentucky due to heavy rain. Finally got back home Monday afternoon. Yesterday was my first time riding the trike. Can I just say, "Amazing?" I'm in love for sure! She handles so beautifully and wants to take off like a rocket ship! LOL I have to get used to it, but I guess, somehow.....I'll manage. ;)

My first "real ride" is Friday. Over 100 miles. I've never gone more than about 20 miles one-way on my Suzuki trike, so this will be a big deal for me.

Wanted to share my excitement!!

"CONGRATS" remember take it easy getting used to the new trike. She sure is pretty.

You're going to have such a good time on your new baby!! Yes, they're fast, so be careful - it'll take a while to get used to the power, but we would love to have you bring your new toy to Maggie Valley for the rally. There's a bunch of Ohio people coming down, so maybe you could join their 'convoy'!!

Thanks everybody! Yes, I scared the heck out of myself yesterday, almost wiping out in a curve because I was going too fast. Yikes!!! I didn't have that problem on the Suzuki C-50! Lesson learned, I hope! Got my first 100 mile ride scheduled on Friday, so I'll be going out the next couple of days to get used to the trike some more.

Wish I could go to the trike rally but we've got a lot going on this year. Motor Maids convention is in Spartanburg, S.C. in July so we'll be in that vicinity, just a different time. Who knows, maybe next year.

As for whether my trike is a he or a she......I could tell you where to look but....nah, nevermind. ;)
