Lockaable Gas Cap and Hood

I guess I can buy a lockable gas cap for the Stallion. What about the engine compartment. Is it lockable?

Also, is the lock on the truck very sturdy or does that have to be upgraded too?

There is a stant locking cap that will fit the stallion. in one of the earlier post one of our members put in the stant number but i dont know what it is off hand. as far as locking the engine compartment, i don't know of any upgrade for that. Im sure you could find a way to do it, without it being to noticeable. Not much help.

I do not see any easy way to lock the hood unless you made up some kind of remote electric mechanism to operate the cable. The trunk lock is fine.

Someone used to make a lockable pull cable. Have to see if I can look one up.

I lost a cap on our trip to Yellowstone last moth due to distractions trying to get away at a gas station in Utah. Called factory and they said the gas cao is for an 07 Mustang, Napa only had a locking one on hand.

I found the locking gas cap that fits the Stallion:
It is the Stant 11510

It also fits the 2008 Mustang

You can reuse the plastic connector that keeps it connected to your tank by just sliding it off and attaching the new gas cap to it the same way.

Save your old gas cap, you may need to replace the rubber gasket in a few years.

I found this at an Advanced Auto Parts store.
