New to this so do not know what to say at the moment ~ this is a note to introduce that I am a new member. My husband and I recently purchased a 2009 HD Ultra Classic Tri-Glide and love her, wishing the weather were warmer so that we could be out there riding.

Welcome aboard. You have a nice area to ride in.

Thank you... can't wait for warm weather next year. This is my first HD (co-owned with husband) but he is a long time 2-wheel HD owner. Previously I rode only as passenger, but took the 3-wheel class for trike & sidecar this spring, got my license & a tiny trike. I've since converted my husband to three-wheels, buying the Tri-Glide the end of September.

Hi!!! My first drive was Michigan the first week of October. Drove from the cottage to East Tawas then to Great Lakes Harley in Bay City.
P.S. ~ I can't seem to add photos of our Tri Glide, my photo files are over 1 -2 MB each & I use a Mac. Can't figure how to make the photos extremely small. Any help how to upload a photo would be appreciated.
Hello Lady Donna and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. I know how you feel, I have been riding trike for the last 6 years and bike for at least 40 years. And every winter, I hate to put it away because I know that it's going to be at least 4 months before I can throw my leg over my trustworthy trike once more. But at least we can do some long term maintenance and dream of the next beautiful riding days. Ride safe.

"I'm completely new to 'shifting', my 1st ride this spring into early fall had been a Danson trike-converted Silverwing ~ fully automatic. In September I convinced my better half to consider a trike after he had the chance to drive my girlfriend's HD trike. He gave the go ahead to look for one for ourself. I'd have been happy being the passenger but he asked if I'd help him drive it so I asked if he'd teach me shifting. He said I drove his 4-Runner so I'd learn easily. I've solo'd on her a few times now and just got back home from a nice solo Sunday afternoon ride (60º). By the way, my husband knew that after driving the big lady I wouldn't want to get back on 'the tiny tike'. The nice thing about our area of VA is that we do intermittently get nice weather days to ride........." :GL1800:

Thank you!!! We love her. Question, how did you put your profile picture that shows when you post a tread? Been trying & my picture is small file but it will not show when I write or reply.....

P.S.- your trike is nice too...

At the upper right of your screen is a "Settings" button. Click that, then go to "edit signature" in the left column, about half way down. You can add your photo from either your computer files or from a sharing site, such as Photobucket. Hope this helps!

"Many thanks, think I've managed the photo issue by opening a Photobucket acct. Anyway a small photo shows up now."

"Thank you for your welcome. I noticed your picture said 'Patriot Guard Riders'... my sister had wanted me to meet some of the riders when I traveled to Washington, PA on Nov.2 for the Veterans Day Service honoring WWII vets (which included honoring my father Jacob M.). Unfortunately before all the get-togethers were thru with family members, the riders had already left."
Would have loved to have talked with those members. One rider had a HD Tri-Glide..."

Welcome to the Trike Talk Forums from Idaho ! ENJOY !

I know what your saying I got my GW trike the 1st part of Oct.and have only got about 1200 miles of riding in. My plan next year is to pretty much park my truck and ride the Trike as my daily transportation . Come on spring!
