Little Hose off Coolant Compartment

This weekend I noticed a black 1/4"hose just to the left side of the fairing, housing the coolant reservoir. It comes out of the lower housing and is tie wrapped around a bigger hose the goes upward, dangling loose about 5"s. It isn't capped or connected, so must be a vent or something. I think normally is stays between where the adjustable vent louver is and the very left side fairing. Just wondering if anyone knows what it's for.

I would think an overflow tube would point downward, this makes a 90 degree upward bend. I can call the service guys and have them check. I can remove the two screws holding the lower shroud to see where the other ends connects to. It may be some type of service tube.
