I know we don't get snow like you folks up north. Around here, what little we do get rarely sticks.

The last few days have been COLD! But today it was a bit warmer, & we had a light snow falling. Went out for a little 50 mile putt. Had a blast!

We have plenty of snow here, but I haven't gone putting yet. If I did, then I would have to spend half a day cleaning my machine. LOL. I am not big on dirt, so I am a fair weather rider unless I get caught in a rain storm. That happened only once in my life.

Gordon

Oops I goofed.

I thought I was on the Honda Trikes Forum. Please forgive me. LOL

Nice little dusting of snow:), we have about a foot to foot and a half on the ground right now.

Grumble Grumble Grumble

Glad someone got out for a ride

I still cant get the shed doors open
(anyone want to shovel a two ft snow drift:gah:)
27 degrees for the high aint helping either.

We are running out of room to put the snow..and its snowing again today..There is no way I would get the Trike out in the weather..
and the salt would destroy all that chrome

Glad to see someone got to ride today. It was 11 degrees below here this morning. I did start my trike today and loaded it on the trailer. It's all tarped down now and ready for our vacation. One week from today we will be riding in Arizona. Wish us luck with the weather and roads between ND and AZ.

The salt and sand on the roads in Ohio has got to be horrendous!!

Definitely not something someone wants to ride their bike or trike in, that crap will get in places they won't be able to clean it out of and start eating it from the inside out. This is my truck after a few days in the crap, I have piles of small gravel on the floor of my garage.

We have over 2' of snow on the ground and temps from below 0-9 above. Don't have my trike back from the shop yet anyway. Going on 3mos. now. Mine would look like Mikes too. When it's this cold the salt doesn't work anyway.

Don't forget to turn on a big box fan so you can feel like your in the wind while riding in your garage:).

I could always send ya some Canadian WIND...
Its -35C windchill here today, about 3' snow, temp is -25c,
But Hey, Its not snowing and its Sunny !!!

That is a crazy amount of salt.

Down this way even a little snow throws everyone into a tizzy. lol They do use sand and chat on the roads, and a spray that has salt in it on the bridges...but nothing like you guys see up north.

Kevin

The "sand" they put on the roads around here --- most people would call 3/4" gravel --- stuff will really put a divot in anything u put on the road --- usually wind up with a new windshield on the cage every year --- and don't even mention the mag chloride stuff --- that stuff will eat/corrode everything and anything :xzqxz:

I had washed it a few days prior to taking the picture, sounds like your state believes in more is better like Ohio does. Ohio lays down so much salt and brine it will look like a dust storm when cars are driving on the dry roads.

I'll bet the spray they use on your bridges is calcium chloride brine, nasty stuff. Loves to eat metal, pit aluminum, and raise hell with electrical systems. We use the same stuff in the refrigeration system where I work as the cooling medium in our condensation area, loves to eat things.

Yes, it's the calcium chloride. We rode thru TONS (literally) of that stuff on our trip up to Alaska and back. Really nasty...gummy too when wet.

Too much snow still here in Idaho. We received another 6 inches on Saturday. So I just get to go out and start it and sit on it and listen to the radio. Wishing for warmer and clearer days ahead. Oh well!!! I NEED TO GET OUT AND RIDE!!!;)

We stay in Tucson from October to April. Great riding weather here. 78 today.

Three months in the shop is a long time...I have been itching for mine to get back and it has only been 10 days.
