Do most (or all) of you, who use the little colored US map in your signature, only color in the states you have been in or through on your bike, or do you color in every state you have ever visited, whether on your bike or not? I first did a map that showed every state I have ever visited, but then changed it to only those states in which I have actually ridden on a bike.

Most that I'm actually aware of on sites I visit use them for only with bike. Some go so far as on the present bike even if the last one they rode all the contiguous states. That seems a bit much but some ride A LOT so I guess they can afford starting over all the time. I only have a measly 12 so don't even use one.:D

When I had the map in my signature line I just colored those states that I'd put my kick stand down. Got all 48 continues states on 2 wheels so I removed it. Now thinking about adding the map back and start coloring in those that I put the kick stand down on 3. No, wait, the trike doesn't have a kick stand....have to think of something else. My buddy considers taking a Pi$$ in the state counts. Maybe I'll take his lead.

I've thought about one of those maps but figured it might be bragging to say I've been in 45 states, either via bike or Corvette.
Quite a few by kitplane but I guess that doesn't count here.

Harley's don't have kickstands...:D:D
If your ride leader has a Harley.. Its Jiffy stands up at 9 am.......

Back to the original thread.....I colored in the states traveled/visited with a motorcycle!

Got my map colored, now how do I download to my signature?

You should have saved your map as a .jpg file. Now look at the upper right corner of the forum page. Select "Settings then Edit Signature" then insert the map photo (.jpg file) in your signature where you would like it to appear.

Thanks everybody for the replies, "jiffy" vs. "kick" notwithstanding. I have somewhat the same problem as Clint44. When I first did the map I included every state I have ever visited. That turned out to be 47 out of 50, so I changed it to only states in which I have ridden the trike. Seems more appropriate to what we are doing here.

I would take issue with Texan's signature line. I was not fortunate enough to be born in Texas (which was my parents' fault, not mine) but I got here as soon as I could. Not counting 2 years in Corpus Christi when I was in the Navy, I have been a proud Texan for 46 years and counting - well over half my life - and consider myself to be as much a Texan as any native-born person. I fly the Lone Star Flag on my trike, I love hot chili, I can take the heat better than most and I hate Michael Bloomberg. How much more Texan can you get?

........ How much more Texan can you get?

Like I told one fellow during the Eureka Springs Reunion this past June.....it's what state you're in when they cut that umbilical cord. LoL!!!!!! At least you got here.. Here 10 years or so back the State of Texas offered all Texans a birthright certificate. Real nice certificate and a laminated pocket card. I have a real good friend from Okla that I grew up with tried to get one....Sorry!!!!!

Being a 5th generation Texan makes me proud to hang onto that fact.[FONT=arial, sans-serif]

We have one ride captain that just says "rolling" at what ever time. Gets everyone that way.:pepper:ThumbUp
