56 years ago today I joined the Navy. Picked up by the recruiter at 05:00, Drove to the induction center in Ashland, Kentucky. Had a physical and took the entrance exam,

hopped on a plane for Cincinnati, Ohio from there to Los Angeles and on to San Diego.

Damn, that’s a long time ago . Thanks for your service. I enlisted in 79 and got kicked out in 09 (retired at 30 years). I also went to Sand Dawg.
