Can anyone tell me what the correct amount of oil is needed to fill the differential pumpkin with. Is there a specific number of ounces or is it filled to just below the filler cap?

my champion straight axle is filled with grease.
Mine is on a Harley that may make a difference?

Why does a Lehman Monarch II trike have a Champion solid axle under it? Every Lehman with solid axle I've seen had a Ford 6.75" (ring gear dia) rear axle with cut down housing and new machined shorter axles and most use 9" Ford drum brakes as used in 1980 Pinto.

In any case, I'ld use 75W90 or 85w90 .... likely not 85w140 as it's a bit thick (but it won't hurt the rear axle) rear axle lube, poured in until level with bottom of fill plug.
Like ...... pour in using squeeze bottle with tip snipped until it starts running out. Put plug back in. It does not need any limited slip additives as trikes don't use limited slip differentials.
