Left saddlebag flashing open

I have a 2001 Lehman monarch ll trike conversion the left saddlebag is flashing open I have no saddlebags what could be the problem?

Would make sense though I never knew such a light was present on 1800s. My Lehman used the left saddlebag lever / cable for the lower trunk. I looked at the MII manual, no mention of warning lights or sensors.

If you have a Monarch I, the lower trunk lid lays down.

If you have a Monarch II, the lower trunk lid raises up.

The Monarch I has a micro switch in the middle of the latch (look where striker enters latch).

It usually has a red button on it that may have fallen off not allowing switch to fully function.

The Monarch II is usually wired to the RT Saddlebag Light.

It has 2 micro switches wired to the 2 latches.

To test it, simply open the trunk and push both latches shut with a finger (2 clicks on each).
