Just saw them a couple weeks ago in a flyer my dealer sent me. I was really impressed with the increase in light over incandescent lamps. The flyer didn't list a price so I went to the HD website to check it out. I don't ride at night here in WV because of the deer so I really can't justify that kind of money!!! LED technology has been around for decades so, even considering the cost of manufacturing and profit, one would think the price would be about a third of what they're charging!!
I have one on my 04 flhtcse it was about $500.list Ebay $300. I think It is THE best add on I ever installed. It is a night & day difference over the stock light , i had to pull the fairing & pickup the tank ,it was about a hour job . well worth the money & time.
Have you considered HID lights? Have converted my 03 GL in half a morning as I have used HID on my last 2-w sport tourer & just loved the difference. Now night or especially very early morning starts on week-end trips is a hoot. The GL takes 2 sets & cost me under $300 for the whole set up incl thin ballasts.
