Have a 2006 GL1800A. It has the auxiliary fuel tank and
parking brake and floorboards.

In any case, the right rear wheel is drooling grease or
oil. The wheel is an American Racing 16X7JJ with a
P205/65R16 Solus KR21 tire mounted.

When the lug nuts are removed, there is a large
castle nut and cotter key.

What size is the nut? (I will likely need to buy
the correct size socket and not sure if it is SAE
or Metric). What is the wheel bearing designation?

You can either measure it with a caliper or call Roadsmith and ask for Mike and he can tell you what it is.

It could be 1 1\4, or 30mm could also be 36mm all depending on what axle is used
Almost every bit of hardware supplied by Roadsmith is SAE. Will have to check to see if I have a 30mm impact socket. Any idea which bearing would be used? Guess it will depend on what axle... thanks wg

I was set to call but it was just past 4:30PM CST on a Friday. Probably going for a ride this weekend so don't really want to remove the rim to measure.

More than likely it will be a Timken or a BCA bearing number, a 30 mm socket or a 1 1/4 deep socket should get that nut off, some of the early axles were a 36mm
