Late nighters---unite!!!

That has a high degree of probability even if it isn't a goal he has set.

When my Wife sends me out to the store to pickup something for her, I always have a 50-50 chance of getting it right....

''But'' a 90 percent probability i'm gonna be Wrong....:gah:

Welcome back.

Does your LEOSA permit cover you in Chicago or are you just winging it?

How does the guitar look? Must be someone special for you to take to them that far away?

It covers me. I am federal after all. But, just in case, I called the Willis Tower folks before we got there. They just had an off duty CPD officer verify my ID, and I was able to go on up. They didn't even have me put my belongings through the X-ray machine. Really nice bunch of people.

My gun has now been all the way to the 103rd floor.

And the guitar looks great. They were the only people Gretsch (now owned by Gibson) would recommend. So yeah, they're pretty special.

Back in the chair tonight.

Thanks for the map Catfish. That's very helpful.

Hopefully this finds Steve well on his way to getting the build of his trike resolved.

It always seems to be hassle when traveling finding out which States honor a CC from your own State. The map takes a lot of work out of the process. It is always a concern so you know what your dealing with and how to transport legally.

I hope his trike is nearing ready also.

Off to bed I am. Have a good night.

I was zonked last evening. I guess it was all the fresh air from a beautiful day on the trike. We also spent some time at her sisters property in the country target shooting and taking a leisurely walk in their wooded section enjoying the new life and scents of spring.

Temp forecast is low 80's today so the trike is calling out from the garage. :GL1800:

Plans changed..., the wife decided to clean carpets because I have a brother and his wife as well as my sister coming to visit. We all went to the same HS and it is going to be my 50th reunion. Small school in a small town so my class has a reunion every year and I haven't missed one yet. Brother lives in Cape Coral, Fl. and my sister Phoenix. Haven't seen either for a couple of years so looking forward to the time with them. A place where everyone knows your name.

I'm taking a break from detailing the machine especially the one that was a winter project I picked up cheap because the owner spilled a gallon bucket of glue on it and gave up as ruined, boy was he wrong. Good old WD40 to the rescue. I'll get it out sometime today and take a picture of the bike. It was a lot of hard work and the patience paid off big time. I even managed to salvage the windshield, which I'd thought impossible. My other winter project was totally gutting my upstairs bathroom and totally happy with that too, but glad winter is over. :clapping:

For those interested....Gretsch before damage repaired...

Work completed. I'm telling you, those guys are amazing.

Wow, great job! It's amazing what a true craftsman can do.
When you said "broke the headstock clean off" I visualized a face first front fall. I've seen two more just like this. 200 or so pounds of string tension and the tilted back headstock smacking the floor :AGGHH::gah:...:xszpv:

You are exactly right...it was a face first front fall. And if I'd thought, I would've ratcheted down the string tension quite a lot before I put the guitars on display. My brain was other places that night.

Stick around for a little while and I'll post pics of the Sceptre...which has a hairline crack in the soundboard (not related).

Amen to that..., beautiful repair, no doubt at a hefty price, my imagine is thinking.

Not at all...$721. I would've gladly paid that myself, if I'd had to. I expected much more.

Back to trikes. :qpnmt:

The look of joy on my daughter's face is why I bought the trike. And no, that's not the one I bought. Ours is red....or sunglow...or whatever fancy name the MoCo calls it.FullSizeRender.jpg

Yeah, that was a decent price for certain.

Nice to see that big smile on the little one. I completely understand the why. ThumbUp

That is beautimus !!

I'd love to be able to play that for an hour or two.

Where is the crack?

I tried to post a pic, but it won't let me for some reason or other :xzqxz:

It starts just below the soundhole and runs about halfway to the bridge. To be honest, I hadn't taken it out of the case in several months, and was horrified right at first. But I contacted Paul, and he said no worries.

I should add it runs where the 2 halves of the soundboard were joined.

And if we ever get close to you camping (and we will), you can play it all you want.

Checked your humidifier lately? Hydrate it well, and it might close back up.
