It's darn near time to spring forward. Less than 20 minutes in the eastern time zone.

I wonder if I'll feel anything?

It seems earlier than 5:23am. But I guess that's because it really is earlier. They are making me take an hour of leave because I am only working 7 hours. The lieutenants of old were much cooler about it. They would say, "Everybody go to the camp and shake down for an hour", knowing full well when we left, we were hitting the road.

On the up side...I'm not losing any sleep like most of y'all are.

Daylight savings day has come and gone. Working midnights, I really don't feel much effect of it, except it was still daylight when we sat down to supper at 7:30 this evening. Other than that, it was easy-peasy.

Being retired has pretty much the same effect. Only difference today was, I had to reset all the clocks. Still need to do the vehicles. Didn't go anywhere today.

I don't see much difference either. I put the chickens to bed as usual and get up with the cows and chickens the same. It's a this time change stuff. Done strictly for certain lazy people that need a clock to tell them when and how to get the most out of a day.

It is but that's because there is still a bunch of us old farts trying to educate kids. College kids amaze me with what they think but we are about to be out numbered. Leaving the question of how much longer will we remain Republican? Perry was elected for crying out loud. At least, we got rid of him finally. Abbott does give me hope now though.

How's my weekend been? Any riding get done? My big excitement is I bought a new push mower...well, not so much push...it's says on the box it's AWD.

Well, the gun DID go with me. It also went to Best Buy with me when we bought a new GoPro camera and some accessories. Got really lucky there because I got an email a couple of weeks ago about our DVD player that it's extended warranty was about to expire. It went bad over a year ago, and we had no idea where we bought it from or even had a warranty on it. We had already bought a replacement last December, so we didn't need another one. A really nice geek squad guy talked the manager into giving us full store credit for the player to the tune of $480. Now we can use the camera in the pool this summer. I also bought a head strap that fits motorcycle helmets. I might experiment with that. Should be fun.

Tried out the gopro today. I was making spaghetti sauce while the wife figured out how to work the thing. After she passed her knowledge on to me, I attached it to the head gear, donned it, then walked to the kitchen and stirred the sauce.

So my very first action with it was the 'pot stirring cam'. Very cool. It's freaking amazing how small the thing is. Haven't put the SD card in the TV yet, but I'm told the video is amazing. This camera records in 1080p. We could've bought one in UHD, but we don't have a TV that is quite that good, so we saved the $100.
