Late nighters---unite!!!

I thought Thursday was a regular day for you.

We're getting a refund, too. It will help me dig out of the hole I dug at Christmas.

Thursday night which is actually Friday.

The hole I've dug for us is the size of the Grand Canyon. But, this refund will be a start.

Oh I hated having to go in a day early for overtime. Especially when temps out were great. And I'll admit I went to work nearly drunk more times than sober too.:D

Yeah, I'd much rather work the day LATE than early. Going in the day early messes up the whole week. Thursday should be my Friday it feels like. Can't come into my place of business drunk....unfortunately.

That's me. I have money withdrawn from my check into my credit union as well, but I get it back out almost as soon as it hits the account.

This way at least, I have several thousand I can pay off stuff with, and....

use it to put upgraded speakers on the TG...SSHHHHHHHHH

Holy crap, I'm getting spring fever. I want to ride so bad, it ain't funny. I was thinking about riding one day when it was in the 40s, but it was windy on top of cold, so I didn't. Looks like the week ahead is out, too. :(

This week is getting cold. 20's this weekend. I took a short ride Monday evening to test out my new $$battery$$. It was in the 40's and I had a 55 mile an hour wind until I turned off the main road.

Yeah, well I'm talking crosswinds that get you even when you're standing still. The windshield doesn't keep it off either. ;)

It was, I say, It was a joke, Son.
I know what you're saying. I was out the other day and it was warmer riding that sitting in traffic.

I'd better get to bed if I want to make the Y at 10:00 a.m. :vxtyaq:

Yeah yeah...I got it. But there may be others in our presence that don't. :D

And bed this early is for the weak.:p

Been retired for 8yrs and still can't shake the 9-5 sleep schedule in the winter. :Coffee:

As in 9pm to 5am sleep? Or waking up for a 9am to 5pm job? I'm betting the first, because I usually see you on the boards shortly before or shortly after 5am.

We've had 2 days with the temps near 80 and it looks like more next week. We are going to get used to it and get another cold snap just sure as shootin.

When we start warming up that "usually" means others start the trend about a month later. But we are about a month early. Screwy weather this year for sure.

For sure, we usually get westerly weather, with is el-Nino thing , it's been from the south . Lots of N Easters this winter. I am inland 30 miles from the Ocean so we just get the dusting . Long Island and NYC have been the targets this year.

Yeah, it's almost like the Gulf current has shut down this year for you guys. That alone is spooky. That current is so key to everything.:AGGHH:

Sounds like the movie 'The Day After Tomorrow'. In the end, Mexico became the bread basket of the world. Now THAT is scary.

I saw Bill out on the game boards. I gotta say something about you man...in that video you prompted me to watch, you don't look like somebody that's old enough to be married 47 years. How old were you when you married? Twelve?

Thanks, we get that frequently. That video was shot when I was 64. We got married at 19 and I'm 66 now.
When people say we don't look like we're old enough to be married 47 years, we tell them we got married at two.

State and Federal refunds came in on Thursday. (one week)
Didn't know it hit the bank until this morning. :pepper::pepper:

Well...another day closer to retirement, I reckon.

For Valentine's Day, we decided to forego the usual flowers, cards, candy, etc. I remembered my wife talking about wanting one of those fitness bands a few weeks ago. I was at a sporting goods store a few days back saw an assortment and called and asked her if she really wanted one. She said yes, get one for both of us, and call that our Valentines presents. What I finally settled on was a garmin vivosmart. It counts steps, calories, monitors sleep and takes push notifications from our phone.

It sets goals according to what you want. I want to lose 20 lbs over the next few months, so for now it's got my goal at 7125 steps a day to lose one pound a week if my caloric intake is what it sets it at. I think it's doable. I'm going to eat more than what it says, but I'm also going to walk a bit more than it says as well and see what happens.

And yes...she is really okay with this as our Valentine's Day presents. Last few years, she sees flowers and cards as a big waste of money. I'm still going to slip to wally world and pick up a cheap card from me and one from the girls anyhow. :D

I'm watching the temp drop and it is getting COLD no snow yet according to the weather guesser it should come on Monday.
Follow along with the temps on the bar below.

I don't have far to walk to work, I just dress right and bundle up for the short walk. I also watch for ice so I don't fall.

Hello Scott I found it. Where do you work? And position?
FCI Ashland, KY. I'm just a correctional officer. Our nickname for the position is 'hack'. I've been on morning watch (midnights) since December of '06. I did work evening shift for one quarter back in '08. I do that for family obligations.
