If we've discussed what you did for retirement, I don't remember. Refresh my memory if you have told me, or tell me for the first time if you haven't.Yeah, I pulled Mids for a year and a half straight. I can relate.

What I've done for retirement? Anything I want. Wife & I rode around the County for an hour today.
I'm sure you meant BE for retirement. I worked for the phone Co. for 32 years. The coolest job I had there was in the network management center. We remotely monitored all the digital switching for our Co. in the state of Va. 24/7/365.
Yes, I meant BE. You've been retired for several years IRRC. I'm also thinking you retired at what's considered an early age. I'm getting out at 57 no matter what. I can get out 2 months before my 56th b-day. I figure what's 14 more months? If my health is good, I'll stay until they kick me out. That's that much more full pay, as opposed to the way reduced retirement pay.
I have a lot to look forward to myself. Even not retired....my wife will ride behind me now for the first time in our marriage. We only went out twice, but we had lots of fun both times. I know she's up for more this coming summer.I retired 2 months before my 57th. The end of March '16 will be ten years.:wave4:
My wife retired the week after I did. It's been great! Now that we have the trike, she is riding again and we have MORE to look forward to.
Uh-oh...I get the feeling Bill has pulled his head back his shell for the night.
Almost time.
I was over on our other forum looking for the dates of UWC 2016. Couldn't find anything even with the search. Do you know when it will be? If it doesn't conflict with another event this year, I'm thinking of riding up there for a few days.
Today is the wife's birthday. The plan is for me to fix spaghetti sauce for a dinner this evening with members of the family. Also on the menu is cake and ice cream (of course). She asked for the remaining seasons of Grey's Anatomy on DVD that she doesn't already have. She got it.
Congratulate her on the b-day. Does that mean that now she has ALL 50 Shades of GREY ?![]()
Two days and no posts here. Better get it back up to the top of the page.ThumbUp
This is my last night working for about 3 weeks. I'm having gall bladder surgery on Wednesday. I'm a little nervous, but hope to have better health after it's removed. So maybe I'll see some of you day people for a little while.

Heh. No comment. We'll be thinking of you. Hope everything comes out O.K. Lets us know how it went.
Are you sure you are not just doing this just to be off at Christmas?
You're right. It went off without a hitch. I won't say I'm feeling no pain, but I will say I'm most likely going to go stir crazy if I stay off for the whole three weeks!Hope you recover soon... Nothing to be nervous about The Doctors doing Gall Bladder Surgery have it down to a science nowadays, So much so they can even do it while you wait...ThumbUp
Hang in there.....ThumbUpThumbUp

Thanks!Glad you’re doing well Scott, first week is a little rough but it gets better fast after that.
Thanks!
I was doing so well today that went out looking at guns. I even got to shoot mine a few times at the gun shop to get a problem fixed. It even malfunctioned like it did when it screwed up on me the other day. Problem was fixed!
Tomorrow, I hope to get my Christmas shopping finished. We shall see.
Ammo wasn't feeding into the chamber. Armorer said he had never seen the problem before. He changed out the only part he thought could be the problem, and it worked like a champ after that.Glad to see you doing so well. Still, take it easy.
What problem did it have?
You can see problem and solution above. Just forgot to say that it was my glock 42 (.380). I'm kind of glad that it went in the shop, because it forced to carry my full sized glock 22 for the first time. It doesn't even feel like I'm carrying. I think I'll stick with it, and only carry the .380 if I'm dressed up or something.Glad to hear you are doing well, Scott. I am on leave the next 2 weeks, heading out the door in just a few minutes to see if I can help reduce the deer population in my area. What gun were you shooting and what was the problem? I'll give a report later on my day and hopefully it will be a good one.
Feeling much better. Truthfully, I only felt bad right after I woke up after the surgery, for about 2 hours. You're right about the stir crazy part. The only reason I'm not asking the doc to let me go back to work is, my wife is having a hard time dealing with the holidays, this being the first without her dad.Scott, I hope you are feeling better, you are probably ready to go back to work, I know that after my shoulder surgery and 2 weeks at home I was stir crazy.
