Ken Burn's Vietnam

Is anyone watching?

I am. First show was certainly a hx lesson for me. I knew very little about "Uncle Ho" as he was referred to.

Hx of the country and the French I am familiar with. Da Lat, a town we flew into frequently, had a big French influence that still was present in 1968 among it's people.

Crap! I didn't know it was on! I really liked the piece he did on the Civil War several years ago. The old letters to home that were read are special.

Wish he'd get a little more into the lives of the men that actually did the dirty work and a little less of the politics.

Well ask and ye shall receive. Last nights program was mostly about grunts. I don't know how they did it. Not sure I could have.

I guess I'm just the opposite. I am finding it interesting to hear all the political side of it and how the decisions were made. Some of it I had heard before but some it I either hadn't known or had forgotten.
