JUST KNIVES

They both stunning Bill, sure got some nice ones there! :clapping:

Here's the other Queen that came in today. I took an umbrella with me on the walk to the mailbox.

It may be just me but the texture of the scales is slightly different than the other. Could be just the age of it

Ps.

Enjoyed talking with you today

Bill and Randall, both of you have some nice knives in your latest posts!

You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Randall and I got together over texts when I went over to see "the collection" again this morning. We're both going to be eating Ramen noodles and peanut butter sandwiches for a month.

The suspense builds..........

Sleeping Buck to Buck

I don't know Frank...I have on good authority that Bill hogs the covers :p

I'm bringing a sleeping bag so he can't spoon me. :gah:

I haven't had a chance to take pix of the new kids on the block and still have more of the first haul to post. Here are two Bucks. A custom pre 1985 model 500 with elk antler scales and a cool sheath. The other is a 112 AUTO from 2001. I thought that was a new thing for Buck but this one is 19 years old.

Those are sweet!... Really like the auto 112 :clapping:

I finally go a auto I've wanted for some time now and I like it. Thinking I may need a sheath to keep it from accidentally opening though. Kershaw Launch 7...

Like Bill, I've gotten a few that I haven't shared yet. Here's a new not in box - vintage Schrade + Gen 3 , and it came with a really neat sheath to carry it. View attachment 85485

Morning Bill,

We have a clip, sheepfoot and spay blades on this stockman styled knife.

That's a good question...what blade is typically used for whittling?

I don't know. When I first saw it, I thought the middle blade was in backwards.

My auto isn't working right. It won't open all the way. Gonna test the warranty once all this crap blows over.

Call Buck , they should have someone there  Check the action for fuzz or some other debris , if ya haven’t already .

Can't exactly say I've done any whittling in a very long time... mainly when I was younger. Those were the days where if you saw a kid with a knife your parent's weren't sent to jail and the children taken away....

My parents let me have a 1" key chain folding knife when I was around 6. Wouldn't cut butter. Then at around 10, I bought a Barlow at Summer camp for 50 cents. Still have it somewhere. I also have the first piece I ever whittled. (my index finger)

Have a Barlow , could never keep an edge on it. Can’t even find it !

Everyones got some cheapies, hers a few that were readivly easy to find.image.jpg

I'll bet there are a lot of memories to go along with them. Tell me more about the white handled one in the middle.

Hook and small razor with a cracked plastic . I have other hookers , need to root and find them.

They all got used and abused , except the one on the right. A cheapie given to all FD members a while back. Still a vergin

Well got a few of my goodies in today from last week with just one issue... tracking shows one package delivered but it's not in the mailbox :gah:

....this is why I hate community boxes.

We had 6 of 7 delivered, the one missing probably wound up in another persons slot. It happens way too often now...but the neighbors usually bring us our mail. Sure hope their honest.... that one had two little knifes in it. ☹
