hello Don

welcome to trike talk from east Texas, my thoughts on a trike, I went 3 wheels because I ride a goldwing and on 2 wheels it got hard to hold up with me and the wife on it, it was about 1,000 lb. trike lets me ride longer, I have had my scene 2012. what I have found is, you don't have to put a foot down at stops, it stops faster then a 2 wheeler, I find I can take turns faster on the trike then I could on 2 wheel, the only think I miss is not leaning in to turns, and now don't even thing of it. just set straight in the saddle, and have fun.

just remember you are wide in the rear and some has hit post and such turning to sharp.

all in all I would not go back to 2 even if the lbs was not a factor.
