Hi Guys, i've just joined and looking forward to some trike talk.
I've just started my first trike, its vw based and insperation came from the Phoenix works style. I'm working hard on it at the moment and hoping to have it completed for the summer coming in, as i live in Scotland i'm hoping not to be working when we get our two days of sunshine :)

Welcome rooster. The Phoenix trike is one of my favorites too. Ive been interested in building one for years and one day hope to do so. Ive already started gathering parts for it (a big THANK YOU to Katfish16 for the VW engine parts!). Id love to see your build pics as you go with this project. Please post your build progress and pics in the VW trike section, you'll have a ton of followers watching your project! ThumbUp

Thanks!

Hi folks, many thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome.:wave4:
I'll do my best to remember and take some pics as i go along. i havent drawn out any plans, just got some ideas of what i want in my head. I've bought the tubing and bent it up,tacked it together to get the basic shape,60 degree rake... i think it looks awsome already !
I'll get it welded up over the next couple of days. Im using a harley vrod rear solid wheel for the front end, looks nice and meaty....
As this is my first build i expect to make some mistakes as i go along so its a good job im quite handy with a grinder and a cutting disc :AGGHH:

thanks again for the welcome folks.ThumbUp

Rooster,
I know about your yearly 2 days of sunshine having lived there in 1963-1965 in Montrose. I'd love to ride those beautiful Scotland roads on a motorcycle, especially around the North Sea and around Loch Ness.
