Jacking up TG ???

I just use my existing bike jack(the parallelogram type). Put it under the Derby cover and lift - block front wheel. Loosen bolts before lifting wheel off ground. Hardest part is getting the wheel out from under the fender. Good luck.
For lifting the whole rear end, I took a 1/4" x 3" x 18" steel bar from work. Position it across the back frame and then use my car jack to raise the whole thing. The bar spreads the lifting point all across the frame.

Good luck

J & S has a trike jack that works perfect. Lifts the whole trike up so you can wash and work on it easier. Great product.:pepper:

I have an ATV lift that I use on my Street Glide it seems to work. Looks like I can just lift it on the frame under the motor.
Thanks,
SR

Well this is how I do it. To raise the rear of my trike I use a set of car ramps, which you can get at about any auto parts store, (got mine off craigs list used for $10) and just drive the rear tires up on the ramps. To raise the front up I use the motorcycle jack I used on my old 2 wheeler. Put it under the frame same as you would on a 2 wheel bike. This will raise the front wheel off the ground. You can do this with or with out the rear being on the ramps. If I need to pull the rear tires I use a standard car floor jack under the rear axle to lift that side, put a standard jack stand under that side and then use the floor jack to lift the other side. If you want you can then put a jack stand under to axle on that side also. Then you can pull both rear tires. All this may sound like a bit of a hassel but it works very well for me.

I have a strap anchored to the garage floor that I strap the front tire to then I raise the bike with my motorcycle jack
I did the same thing but I drilled 2 holes in my shop floor. Put in those 'Red Top' anchors in the floor. Now I just pull between the anchors, run a strap thru the wheel and secure the front wheel to the floor. Jack up the bike right at the back of the motor, slide auto ramps under the rear tires. Release the front strap and jack it up again. The front now comes up so I can put some jack stands under the front portion of the front of the frame.

I can can slide under the trike very easy this way.

Getting it down I just jack up the front, put the front wheel on the ground and back off the ramps.

Ohhhhh I put a couple black plastic auto carpet rivets in the anchor holes to keep dirt and such out.

You can just drive the rear wheels up onto car ramps then just raise the front with your motorcycle jack if you are wanting to raise the whole bike then raise rear with floor jack enough to clear ramps , remove ramps and place jackstands under rear axel now you can remove rear tires for adjustments. just reverse steps when done.

Got a pair of underwear that got quite soiled when i tried that the first time. Left rear wheel went up fine, right tire just scooted the ramp forward. There i am at a 45* angle trying to figure out what to do next. Ramps have rubber bases' on 'em to keep them from slipping.

Reverted to the way i do it now.

If you put down a throw rug down under the ramp so the ramp & the tire are on the rug at the same time the ramp won't go anywhere. Preferably the carpet type.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me.
I love the carpet idea = brilliant, Sloufoot.

Thanks Triker. I am buying a Tri-gilde here soon and didn't know my pitbull can still be used. This adapter can be bought from Pitbull jacks?

As long as your top plates are angle iron..The adapter slides into the side of the top jack plate..My jack is someother company not Pitbull but work fine..

Looks like the right way to do it compared to the effort I currently put in. Does the adapter just sit on top of the lift bar and if so is it attached with bolts or free standing.
Thanks for the pictures.

Slides into the top support plate/angle iron ..No bolts..You will have to get down to mount this adapter to the jack each time..This is the only down side to this setup..

Trikermutha, Where did you buy these? I looked all over the pitbull website and cant find any pictures or pricing for the adapters.

Got email from Tony at Pitbull jacks and he said they have the adapters for the tri-glide. They are $59.00 plus $10.00 shipping. Not bad. It is best to have the right stuff to lift one of those units up. Thats if you own a Pill bull jack.

it does make it so much easier to work or clean the trikes..

If you service your own trike .... that J&S lift will be paid for in no time. For me ... It will make it a whole lot easier to place it in its garage parking spot. I paid $250 for my ABBA ZRX stand/lift.
