I noticed on a couple of recent posts some awkward ways of raising a GL1800 with a Motor Trike Adventure kit installed. I purchased a long reach low profile jack from Harbor Freight and adapted it to fit the frame of a MT kit. I bolted a piece of 1” angle to the swivel so that it fits behind the differential mounting bolts on the frame and spans past each one. I did that to stabilize the trike when it was airborne. It also prevented any slipping off the swivel when I raised it. I had to drill and counter sink the bolts through the swivel to clear the swivel pad, but that wasn't too difficult. It’s pretty stable when I raise the rear, but I wouldn’t climb on the trike until I get the stands under it. When I get the back raised, it is pretty easy to raise the front. I drilled a block to fit over the angle mounting nuts and it fits under the shields mounting brackets. It might not work for everybody, but made it easy for me.
