It's Official - DK's Next Project Bike is my 2014 Tri-Glide

It's Official! We started several weeks ago!

The 2014 Tri-Glide is our next Project Trike!



While I have already done quite a bit to it...all the normal stuff Mary and I do for our Touring Bikes... You can see all that at this thread-

Devin and I are looking at it as a blank canvas and will be taking it to the next level. Nothing radical, not show bike stuff, but definitely a step or two up from where it is now.


Right now our thoughts are to focus on:

Power
Longevity/Reliability
Rider/Passenger Comfort
Handling
Safety/Security
Looks (nothing radical)


We already have 20 solid items on our list (which is sure to grow as we spend more time on her).

Of the 20, 6 of them are already in the prototype stage.

I'm sorta excited! :clapping:



Once we get a bit down the road I will begin a Project Trike thread and document what we are doing.

Time to make a few changes to the 14 tri glide heat wagon. I did a stage 1, comfort lift and deluxe lift. Now it is time to make the heat go away. I will be looking with super wide eyes as the new thread starts. Jim

I have ordered some of your stuff already for my 14 trike, can't wait to see what else you do. I hope you address the use of an oil cooler. I had tried the love jugs but the frame mount they sent me for our water cooled trikes would not fit without the water line mounts rubbing so I had to send them back. I was thinking of Wards Werks but I have been waiting for quite a few months for Jason to have Chrome ones in stock. I know you had or still have the Oil Bud but you were not satisfied.

Yeah, I think it is going to be a real interesting and exciting project!

We have quite a couple of items in the works, and several more in various stages of prototyping, and then a bunch more just in the written/measured/waiting on some raw materials.

Friday we are going to be starting to mock up a way to mount a Jagg oil cooler.

I will be starting a Project thread thread in 10-15 days.
