I can relate to that. I was East of Sparks, NV once and I heard the tapping claw foot falls before I saw a coyote on an intersect path with me. I sped up and he crossed the road right behind me. Before that, I had seen a plume of dust that might have been a cartoon Roadrunner. I think that's what he was after. At least no anvils fell on me.

Once while riding my FXST through the state forest between Rathdowney and Woodenbong i had an Eagle swoop down and fly alongside me for about 30 seconds, doesnt seem like a long time, but it was probably the singularly spectacular moment in my life. it was the White headed type similar to your bald eagles. it was close enough that if i had of reached out i would have almost touched its wingtips. it was looking right at me. My bike is extremely noisey, so i have no idea why this happened, and why it chose me. As i came up to a big sweeper bend it peeled off to left and up over the trees.
I can relate to how the guy in the wolf drama felt afterward, im feeling it again just telling the story.
Nature is magnificent
