As someone who has flown (in my own ultralight aircraft) I can tell you that many people aren't meant to fly. Besides the obvious (initial financial and insurance barriers, as well as maintenance costs) most commoners aren't comfortable "...slipped the surly bonds of earth,"

Add in other aircraft traffic (both manned and unmanned) and guns (pointed up at aircraft) and it's not a friendly sky. Also, most other vehicle operators an barely cope with other cars on a highway, with lanes, painted lines, and signs.

But, yes, it's a beautiful video and a beautiful dream.

I really, really like it. But suspect it might be out of my price range. While I paid cash for the Tglide I'm thinkin this may be a tad more expensive. Like maybe 2 mil? Not to mention insurance.

Neat demo. Have been dreaming of flying something like this for more than 60 years.

Only practical way to make this work, of course, is if a new network of computers is dedicated to handling all air traffic, commercial and private.
Imagine something like the automated sorting warehouses used by UPS, FedEx and USPS that read the barcodes and route their packages accordingly.

Otherwise, this looks like a prescription for disaster. The drones are already becoming a problem.

Yes, that looks cool and I would love to have one. It should be noted that, unless I miss my guess, that was completely computer animated. Not actual video.
Now where are those rocket packs I was promised years ago.
