I have a 2003 GW trike and I pull a 1940 Ford trailer. The problem is when you are following my trike the trailer blocks the view of the turn signals on the trike and the turn signals on the trailer are dim. I have had numerous people tell me that my tail lights on the trailer are dim and they don't even notice the turn signals. I looked at some HYPER lights and they look like they will do the job but $130.00! C'mon their has to be a better answer than that!
Any ideas wuld be appreciated!
For what it worth, I had hyper lites on my Vulcan and have them on my wifes Stallion, white up front and red in back. Expensive, yes, are they super bright yes, do they hold up yes, is there something else out there, don't know sorry.
Actually $130 on a $35000 bike is not that big of a safety expense.

If you trailer lights use standard two element 1157 bulbs there is a halogen upgrade bulb that makes a HUGE improvement. I once owned a Yamaha Royal Star Venture that suffered from really poor rear light. The halogen bulb cured that problem for less then $15.

Mike was reading the forum and said:
"Tell Bosco that he'd better not stop pulling that Margarita trailer! If he needs me to sit on the back with a couple of halogen flashlights, I'm willing to do it. Whatever it takes!!!!!"

i agree with RSW and mtn rider. a bad ground usually causes the most trouble in trailer lighting and led liights are best. I always run a trailer plug that has room for a ground and run it to the negative on the battery, makes for a lot less problems.
