Doing a quick search, it appears that it may be faulty fuel injectors or a problem with a problem with the fuel pressure regulator. The P55PTB code is a generic code that indicates a problem with the motorcycle’s fuel injection system.

It is suggested that you may want to take it to a shop for a diagnosis and repair.

Don’t know how to explain this concisely but that’s not a trouble code. It a communication code , there are several type of those codes that will display while scrolling through the display. It may or may not be a “fault”. Best I can suggest is watching YouTube for info on how to scroll and identify what information is displayed.

Here is someone else’s response on another forum. What you are seeing is something that you need to scroll past correctly to get any actual “codes “

1) Hold button in at same time turn on ignition, this appears: diAG
2) Press the button this appears: PSSPtb
3) P flashes, hold button in, this appears: P0118.
4) Single click: "End" appears
5) Single click: scrolling across the screen; Pn-31871-11 appears
6) single click on the button: back to PSSPtb
7) single click gets S flashing, hold the button in, this appears: nonE
Not sure why this character appears here, text written is the number eight.

The next code offers you a top job in NASA, another single click offers you a Diploma in Neurosurgery. Give me Old School any day.

I'm glad the GL1800's don't have that complicated of a system. On those, the F1 light will come on steady if there is some kind of fault. When it does, just pull to side of road, keep motor on, and push kickstand down. It will flash a series of long and short flashes that will point you to the direction of fault. Such as 2 long flashes followed by 5 short flashes. That would be a 25 and points to one of the knock sensors. You just need to count flashes and then look in the service manual to find out which fault it is and troubleshoot.
