Hey y'all. Been interested in motorcycles, specifically Harleys, since I could crawl. Sadly however, Cerebral Palsy has precluded me from riding a two wheeler, so I've been relegated to lusting at bikes from afar. Can Am's came out when I was in high school, and while I liked them in a sense that they could get me riding, I disliked the comparatively limited dealer network, and proprietary service. In the back of my mind I wanted a Harley trike, but couldn't afford a tri glide, or conversion, nor did I like their styling. So I let the trike bug die.
That is until my buddy bought a Harley Wide Glide, and another bought a Sportster, and my boss started eying a Sportster, and before I knew it everyone around me was on bikes. Just for kicks I went on Harley's website, and stumbled upon the Freewheeler.... My mind was blown... It was exactly what I wanted.
A leaned down factory trike, with all the character and mechanicals of its two wheeled counterpart. Just for sh*ts and giggles, I decided to see if the local HD dealer had one in stock. Much to my surprise, they did.
I went over, checked out the bike to see if I could even work the controls. With some longer shift pegs, and an extended rear brake, I will be able to ride it just fine. So now, the plan is to sell my boat and collector car this winter, and replace them with a Freewheeler in the spring.
