I am looking for a power loader for the back of a pickup so I can load my trike with out portable ramps. I need to tow my truck with my motorhome and don't want to leave my bike behind, any ideas

I have a TK Loader with a trike attachment that I've had for about 10 years - have all of the bed mounts, wiring harness & operator manual

(TK Loader was made by Grant Manufacturing in Oakland, MD - looks like company is out of business since I couldn't pull them up on web)

I used with with my Goldwing when I pulled a travel trailer, prior owner ran a Motorcycle / trike roadside recovery / transport business

There are some you tube videos showing how it works - here's a link to one of them

I haven't used it in several years since I got a 5th wheel with a Hydra-lift

Would be willing to let it go cheap - if you want to come to TX & get it.

Every time i see that Video....It reminds me of the Ketchup commercial with the Carly Simon song ''Anticipation'' in the back ground...

try a company named Tommy Lift they make a unit that replaces your tail gate and is operated with a switch. Don't know how big they make them but it's a place to start

Tried to PM you about your lift but it says I don't have permission, if you can PM me some info on it I may be interested?

Strange - I've received PM's from others on the site - I'll pull together some info and photos - will try to get them to you later today / tomorrow at the latest.

I'll see if I can send a PM to you with the info.

Woody - just tried to send you a PM with the loader info - looks like I got the same "No Permission" message you did

"You do not have permission to correspond by personal message with: woody"

"You may either use your browser's "Back" button to go back and edit the "Recipient Users" and/or "BCC Recipients" lists as applicable or you may abandon the attempt and proceed to another page."

If you want to text me your email address my # is 972-742-2409 - I'll send you the info.

Here's one of the photos of the loader on 8' x 4' bed trailer that I use to store it on.

TRIKE LOADER

I have one i will sell. It is made by blue ox and works great. My trike has a long rake on the front making the trike to long for a standard 6 foot bed. I have 2 different pivot bars and a battery that goes with it. All for $1500 picked up in pigeon forge tn(knoxville area). see the blue ox sportloader video on you tube.

My gmc 1500 sierra is 6 foot 6 inches in the bed. My problem is my trike with the long rake is 100 inches, just to the back of the rear wheel not counting the body. I dont know how to post a video or picture but i'll try. BETTER YET SEND ME A NUMBER AND I'LL TEXT YOU A PHOTO.

So here is my new issue....Got rid of the F150 and bought a Ram 1500 / 5.7 Hemi {couldn't resist} I just realized the load capacity is only 1500 pounds. The Trike is over 1300 without a damn thing in the trunks....that means the lift has to be under 200 lbs. to put it at my max. capacity....That kinda sucks!

Or beef the suspension up. I don't know if these little trucks have leaf springs or coils but if leafs you can add more of them and if coils you can get heavier rated or for just a little bit more capacity I suppose shocks with coils might help. That's probably the cheapest way but you won't be adding much. But a business that specializes in suspensions can do the job right and get you more weight capacity. You can easily turn a half ton into a three quarter ton but that's basically what you will be doing. The engine can handle it. Being a Dodge though, I'm honestly not sure about the frame. I've done this very thing with Chevys. Works just fine.Stops the squat.

When I was actually trailering my 2 wheeler out to Sturgis. I would back into a ditch and load it up that way. I don't know why it wouldn't work for a trike. I now ride my bike or trike everywhere. Riding to an event is part of the Adventure.

I guess.....but I left North Central TN just over two weeks ago - Snowing.....Bike in trailer to War Horse HD in Ocala {Great dealer with parking for the truck and trailer} 10 days of both coasts and Everglades. So not having the trailer for that Adventure would have meant no adventure, I ride in Cold....not Snow and Ice. I have a few friends that try to give me hell about my trailers....But they spend more time waiting on weather where I can trailer to it!
