I have gutted mufflers on my 17 Freewheeler, it is not too loud and it does not back fire
If you plan on gutting your mufflers be prepared to void your warranty

Jack, would you care to share what was involved in gutting the mufflers? Thanks for the info.
Took my 2017 TriGide Ultra in for some warranty work when I got it back there was a crack in the middle of the windshield under the middle screw, dealer says it was there when I brought it in. That's bullshit!! Now for my question, I just recently had the chance to ride at night and when I went to back out of my parking spot there were no lights on in the handlebar switches it really is a PIA to have to get out a flashlight to find my reverse switch. Do anyone videos on this or can point me in the right direction? I do have my service manual. Thanks in advance

Remove the cat. Makes a little better sound & reduces heat. I got mine from ebay & can't tell it was removed,by looking.
The stock Harley switches are not lighted.
The crack is under the middle mounting screw going south to edge? likely just a stress crack. I'd be doubly ticked off if it were me … but it ain't me. On the brighter side, seeing as you own it now, doesn't read as if you'll miss them control lights much.Took my 2017 TriGide Ultra in for some warranty work when I got it back there was a crack in the middle of the windshield under the middle screw, dealer says it was there when I brought it in.
