How can I say what hasn't already been said?

BC here, joining ye old Trike forums...as I have been perusing them for about months, and gotten some pretty good info. However now I have questions for which I see no answers, so a registering I went.

Trike Project: Freeekshow Trike, custom build in progress (by which I mean I'm at the parts ordering stage). Me and my Pops last hurrah before he goes off to retire.

I'm from Columbus, OH have zero riding experience (I raced cars competitively from 9 to 18 and drove submarines after that...not like I'm driving/riding deficient-just never had a motorcycle). Went and got my MC license...only to find out I'm terrified of the open road on two wheels.

But I LIKE being on a bike...it's just the slow speed maneuvers, sudden stops, etc that make up the most crucial part of my daily commute (and my innate distrust of every driver around me) are beyond me....I don't have the balance. Need three wheels.

I'm unimpressed with most Trikes I see. They're great for what they are...I need something a little more "me". So putting one together.

Have questions, need answers

Welcome.... So you are looking for suggestions on what to build......? V8 trikes are nice. The mid motor VW are a favorite of mine, I would like to do one with the 1982 1400 Subaru motor instead. Take a walk down to the People in the Other Trike section

Appreciate the advice, however, I already have a 1550 Screaming Eagle. Pops, who only speaks Shovelhead, wouldn't touch anything that didn't have HD on it.

I've owned HD every second of my life since 1968. I even was the doc for HD racing back in the 90's on the dirt track circuit with Scott Parker. I speak shovelhead, panhead, flathead, evo, and blockhead. I also speak VTX, Ducati, and many other languages.

I recognize the greatness in other bikes also. If all I ever owned was a Harley, which I still own 2 of, a chopped FXR, and an Arlen Ness FXR, I would have missed the pleasure of motorcycles in general and their versatility and uniqueness. I just sold my SE Roadglide to buy another trike.

I was just told today my Camaro Orange Roadhawk will be delivered Monday, and I can't wait. It's VW powered. Not a Harley, but I didn't want a Harley trike.

Build what you want and enjoy. Two wheels or three, you can't go wrong, and everyone here will help when you need it.
BC I'm not sure what you are asking as a question. If you have a 1550 SE what model? Look at maybe DFT (Darn Fine Trikes) their conversion is a little different then the norm. Great conversion.
