Hot Springs Village, AR.

My wife and I (both of us have a trike) are considering a move to Hot Springs Village in Arkansas. We have visited there and looked at some homes.
Would like to know if there are any trikers in the Village, or close by. My wife and I love to ride our trikes and we are retired, so we are looking forward to riding the roads around the Ozarks.

Well the last 2 weeks have been crazy! Had no plans to move, then a guy decided he needed our house more than us, so we sold it to him......but oh no, what do we do now? And yes, we are tired of Austin and all it's continued growth, I was born and raised here and I am tired of it! We had seen HSV from riding Hwy 7 about a year ago and thought it looked pretty nice, it came to mind so we jumped into our car and drove out there and loved it. Found a place and put in an offer, we will see how things work out. No friends or family out there, and it looks like there are no trikers to speak of around there, so the wife and I will just mosey along on our trikes and enjoy the new roads.

Well congratulations on getting out of the rat race here! It's gotten so bad that we don't even like venturing south unless we have to.:gah:
The growth and development have made it's way to us here near Hutto and it's just crazy. We wish you two the best on your new quest for tranquility :clapping:

Thanks, we are hoping for the best and are excited........except for leaving our family and friends in Central Texas of course. But we will try to make new ones (friends or course). We will be on our trikes all we can and hope that there are some other motorcyclist there in the area.
If anyone in Arkansas is listening, we will be going to Debra's Cafe in HSV every Wednesday morning for breakfast, come join us!

OJ, congrats on your move. The Hot Springs area is a great place. We have been there many times for HOG rallies and just riding through on Highway 7. Don't know much about Hot Springs Village but it looks like a really nice place. I bet you will find some trikers around the area. My folks are from the Mena, Arkansas area so we have been riding around Ark. for many years and we love it. Have stayed at Magazine Mountain, DeGray Lake and Queen Wilamena (sp?) state parks several times as well as Mountain View, Mountain Home and Eureka Springs. You will love it. If we get back up that way I will send you a PM and we can meet up somewhere.

If you, or any, of our trike talk friends get up our way, send us a PM and we will meet up and maybe ride a little! It may be April before we actually get up there with all the selling of our home and the buying there. I will keep posting as things go along.
