hey meredog
that's a nice trike what brand is that batwing fairing and what did you do to make the front wheel forward. is that what a triple tree that gives it that look??

2002 VTX1800c/Motortrike, 6 degree over rake, Memphis Shades shield and lowers, Harley top box, Corbin radiator cover, Ultimate Big Boy seats...just to name a few ...if we're showin' ours.lol

the triple tree makes it look more like a chopper does it also make a big difference on steering? i have heard some say that its like having power steering, is that true??

I have rode with and with out a Triple tree upgrade. It's not like power steering but, you can feel the increase in ease of low speed corning and it helps get rid of most of the low speed wobble that comes with triking out a bike!

Bottom line is I would not want to ride a trike with out one!!!!

Chumbley where did you buy your top box from ?
You can get a clone from Mutazu at this URL: MUTAZU Motorcycle Trunks.

I've read on other forums that the Mutazu bags are flimsey and need extra support inside--support such as fiberglassing the corners and putting a metal brace in the bottom to mount onto the bike's luggage rack.

I've ordered one and am waiting for it to come back from the painter.

I'm planning to mount an aluminum sheet inside the base of the trunk and another under the trunk, thus "pinching" the Mutazu base between them. If this isn't enough to de-flimsy-ize the trunk I'll add a layer of fiberglass in the corners.

not familiar with the trunk you are speaking of but most of the trunks are ABS plastic and fiberglass does not adhere well to plastics
