Honda dealer review

Just a little info on our local Honda dealer. After receiving the recall notice for the rear master cylinder and secondary master cylinder replacement, I went to my local dealer in Killeen to put my name on the list to have the work done. That list was 2 1/2 pages long and my name went to the bottom. The first 10 lines of the list was scratched through as completed. Two months later, I went back to check on my status. I was the near the bottom on the list and it was still 2 1/2 pages long and the same lines were scratched through. So no progress was made with doing the recall work by this dealer. The service man said that Honda would send them only four kits per week and so it might be next year before they could get mine done. WHAT? I went to the Honda dealer in Georgetown and they said they could order the parts and have the work done within 2 weeks including the time to get the parts in. I went to the Honda dealer in Waco and they said bring it on in and they could have it done in 3 hours. They had the parts there. So I did and it was done. Two months wasted waiting on Killeen.

It sounds to me like the Killeen dealer just didn’t want to do recall work. It’s probably because they don’t get paid as much for recall work as they do for regular service.

The outcome of all this, I will not use the Killeen dealer for anything except absolute emergencies. I have heard nothing but bad reviews of this dealer. And now I want to add my name to the list of bad reviews. They know they have a captive customer base because of the presence of Fort Hood. Most of those young soldiers probably don’t know about or have the time to go to an alternate dealer.

Review: Killeen Power Sports service department = BAD :kpzxvq:

I hope you sent this detail to Mother Honda. I would personally also notify the dealer I was to begin a base wide boycott of his dealership if he kept mistreating customers. But's that's just me. I will go of my way to support a good dealer. By the same token I will not support a bad dealer if was located on the same block I live on. Just saying.

I would like to amend my original post to say that at no time was anyone rude or unpleasant to deal with. In fact everyone that I talked to at any time was always cordial and friendly.

I just can't understand why it would take a year to get recall work done. There is no excuse for that.

Did you try to talk to the service manager or dealership owner to try to make sense from all this?
I'm sure there's a simple explanation for all this.

Even when you get stupid answers/reasons, then I would take to the next level.

I must be the luckiest guy alive because I'm on my 2nd. Goldwing and dealt with 4 different Honda dealerships
for general maintenance/ recalls/ frame welding/ brake calibers recall/ full air filter replacement without a single
dislike for the wrenches doing the work or the service writers.
