Hello I just had a Honda 1800 Goldwing converted into a trike - I drove it today for the first time - I am noticing that it shakes under 25 mph - any suggestions ? I was told that maybe a rake kit would help? any help would be appreciated - is this normal - can it be fixed ? thanks !

A rake kit should cure the problem.
You don't say what year or mileage???
The trikes I tested that did not have a rake kit had the shakes from approx. 20mph up to approx. 40mph, then smoothed out.
I suggest talking w/Bazooka.
I suggest you rake, use All-Balls tapered steering head bearings, get fork extension so the height can be set back to stock.
Again, not sure of age or mileage but if needed, while doing the rake kit it's a good time for a fork rebuild.

Her Purpleness, out '95 Gl1500 MotorTrike did the shakes until we put on the rake kit. After, I could do the no-handed thing even while decelerating to 0mph, where it would shke the worst before. Aside from the other possible causes above that you should check out, the stem bolt should be torqued tighter than on a 2-wheeler.

Head bearings for sure is the first thing to check, if stock Honda they are the ball bearing style in top and more than likely a little loose in the torque department, then go to tires.
