guess saying Hey is just more proof i've lived in the midwest too long. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I've been lurking for a few months now I decided to become an official lurker I suppose?

In early October 2009, i became the enthusiastic owner of a 2008 CanAm Spyder SM5 with only 2500 miles on it. In the 5-6 weeks I had to ride before winter hit I managed to put more miles on it than I had in the past year on my two wheeler. Like many of you i'm now anxiously waiting for riding weather.

I absolutely love my spyder & want to thank Ironhorsepilot for showing me how much fun three wheels are & even more so for helping me through my pre-buy jitters. I have to admit that I still find it unnerving when people pass then drive alongside just to look at the m/c. And the amount of time it takes to make a "quick" soda stop has curtailed several rides as well.

I spend most of my time riding alone or occasionally with my oldest brother, so if anybody sees a silver spyder in the Springfield, IL area that would almost certainly be me.

Janet....WELCOME!!!!! How cool to have another Spyder owner join us. We've had very few so far, but we will definitely love to hear more from you as you get more and more riding in. Post some pictures in an album on your profile page!

Hey back at ya :D Welcome to the board... Like Nana said post some pictures. we love pictures.. enjoy the board and this great group of people we have here...

:)Welcome to the addiction from sunny southern California. Just to show you how 'bad' it gets: Wifey & I went with riding friends on Sunday for an hours ride for lunch. After lunch, we just couldn't waste a beautiful (typical:cool:) Los Angeles afternoon, now could we? So we kept riding up the coast & returned on Monday evening after a 600 mile 'lunch' & a couple of new toothbrushes!! As I said, it's an addiction

Welcome Janet we have a few spyders down here in Australia they are awesome machines, they Go like Sh#* of a shiney shovel, enjoy, what colour is yours, yeah, and post a photo, or two.

I have to admit I find myself riding faster than is legal sometimes, spyder does have a lot more power than any bike i've ever ridden before. My first bike was a 650 Suzuki, then I downsized to a seriously underpowered 250 Qlink but they are both great bikes.

The spyder is silver ...... or "full moon" if you listen to the manufacturer. I'll track down some pics & sort out how to download them as soon as I can. Thanks everyone for the welcome.

Welocme Janet! These guys and gals are so much fun and helpful. I myself is just a co-pilot but boy am I having fun. Our trike is at the beauty shop for her paint job but it will be back soon. (fingers crossed)

Hey Salty ... have a suggestion for you that sure helped me out in my younger years before Nauga Mok. ::grin:: Put together a small 'hotel bag' with toothbrushes, toothpaste, and any other necessary stuff. Just in case you and your co-pilot decide to go for another short lunch ride.
