Hello to my new friends

I would like to say that I have enjoyed reading the comments and information posted. It is very informantive and I have used several of the ideas mentioned. I reside in Huntersville NC. I purchesed a 2014 TriGlide although It rides a little different from my Ultra Classic. I am getting used to it and enjoy it more and more everyday. One question comes to mind and that is in using the lifters on the rear wheels to keep the pipes from dragging, will the extra hight tend to increse the opportunity of losing control in a sharp turn? I think will but is it worth the risk?

Welcome Rambler. Many, many here have installed lift kits on their TriGlides and no one has reported a decrease of control, in fact most report that their trike handles better. That said, a trike does handle differently than a two wheeler so just take it easy until you get used to the way your trike handles. After you get accustomed to it, you will find that you can easily keep pace with the two wheelers.

Rambler, Welcome aboard. Glad you joined us. The lift kit slightly changes the trail and therefor the steering feels slightly easier. I have ridden my TRI with the lift kit installed for over 18k miles. I have ridden many twisties in the Georgia NC, SC Blue Ridge mountains. No control issues what so ever.

As has been stated, most notice a little easier steering with the Lift Kit, and of course, the tail is no longer dragging.

Regarding a lift kit making the COG higher, and thus, more likely to tip over-This is true in theory, however, in practice it is not an issue.

Harley absolutely nailed handling and stability with the Tri-Glide. It is amazing how well it handles curves and twisty's. With or without a lift kit, the TG will take most corners at Twice the posted speed limit and not even think about lifting a tire, let alone tipping over.

If the tipping over point is at 85 mph in a 35 mph corner without the lift kit, then it may be at 80 mph in the same 35 mph corner.

I can get pretty aggressive on my TG and have never come close to tipping over with the Standard Lift Kit or the Comfort Lift Kit. (see details on each HERE)

To give you an idea on how stable the TG is with a Comfort Lift, check out the vid below, even at this speed I did not lift a tire once, let alone come anywhere near tipping over.
