I just signed up yesterday and dropped in to say hey!! I don't have a Trike yet but will be going over to my Dealer tomorrow to order a Champion Kit for my '08 Ultra. I started a thread in the Harley Trike section sort of looking for tips and advice so if anyone wants to chime in please do so.

Hello Greydog, and a big welcome to our TrikeTalk family. You will love your Champion kit! Will you be installing it yourself or working with your dealer? We have many members on both sides of that, and you'll get lots of ideas as you talk with them on here.

Thanx for the welcome!! My dealer over in Gallipolis, Ohio will do the work. He has probably installed over 200 Champion kits on several flavors of Harleys and stands behind his work. I've owned about 20 Motorcycles through the years but this will be my first trike....I've never even ridden one so this is all gonna be new to me!!!

Ben @ Baxters HD? He installed mine too . Did a great job, and I highly recommend him!

Hey Greydog and welcome to the club...! I know you're gonna do like the rest of us when you get on that trike, and say, "Why didn't I do this sooner"? Just join in, take your time and read the posts already on here. I'm sure you'll find a lot of info to help you out. Be sure and check out the posts for new riders and safety tips...I've ridden bikes most of my life, but the trike IS different, so be easy and when you get used to it, you'll absolutely LOVE IT!
Ride safe and WELCOME....

Welcome Greydog. I have a champion kit on my 07 converted Road King. I did the work myself. LOVE IT. Really enjoyed the build. I've got about 6k on the build including a 4k+ trip and have no complaints.

The only thing I did was replace the stock Master Cylinder with the 2010 Tri-Glide cylinder. This is the new MC from Harley it replaces their 09 cylinder. I think it made a difference in the pedal feel. I had to drill a new hole in the plunger arm but that actually allowed the pedal to be down more.

Good luck you will love it.

Welcome from another Hillbilly! You're gonna love the trike and the folks around here.
I'm now in PA, but I come from on the other side of WV and still get there often.

Welcome Greydog...While I don't have a Harley (anymore) I do have a Champion kit on my Honda (the OTHER H bike) VTX1300 and couldn't ask for a better ride:D You will certainly enjoy yours once it's done:yes:

Trike On

PS....The last week of waiting for completion wll seem an eternity;)
