Hello from Lake City, FLA.

I am on my second trike and am a first timer to this forum. Here's a little 411 for the record.

I am on my second trike after several 2-wheelers over the years. Been riding off and on since I was 16. I just turned 65.

Currently running an '07 VTX 1800 R with a Roadsmith Conversion from the the Trike Shop of Daytona. Previous ride was a Lehman Tramp. That 800 was a little small for cruising, hence the upgrade. I got the VTX in Oct of '09. May have gone a little too far up, but I'll deal with that when I get the silly grin off my face.

So far I have added a Roadburner 2 into 1 pipe and a Mach 2 air system. Also have Dynotech FI controller. Added HID running lamps and aux Hyperlite brake modules.

Noticeable performance improvement with the pipes and air system.

I can actually use 5th gear now at the speeds I drive (usually 55 to 65).

The other sucking sound in addition to the big twin and the Mach 2 pulling air, is the gas mileage. 20-ish in town and around 24 it seems on the road. Only have about 6500 on the clock and am hoping for a little improvement as it gets loosened up. Buuut, if economy was the issue, I could have gotten a fortune cookie grinder of some such.

That is the RD version from my side. Looking forward to interesting reads here. I tend to be a "lurker", but will chime in if I think I have something to add or more likely when I make a mess of something and need help.
