Have Sick Trike

After a ride last night I started the trike and the exhaust noise was VERY loud. I reached down underneath me and I could feel "choofing" air coming out. Hubby looked at it tonight and he said it looks like a pressurized push rod tube!! [outside rear]
Has anyone had this problem.... and how do we fix it?????? :gah::gah:

If the noise is just from the exhaust, I would think baffle blew out or hole in pipe before baffle or both. Maybe a crossover connection gasket went north for the winter (I assume since we say up here that things are going south when bad that you might say north). If noise sounds more from engine then not good. Either way, best wishes for a speedy trike recovery.

Sounds like the head pipe has come lose from the head if you are feeling exhaust gases. Also this would make it loud as well. Hopefully that is all and should be a simple fix just do not over tighten the nuts on the exhaust flange studs.
One other thing make sure the bottom anchor bolt has not come lose as well, right under the tranny. From what i have seen sometimes they losen the it will get lose at the head.

Good Luck

Depending on what year your bike it, the rear head pipe may have cracked. Some of the Harley's were notorious for this issue. Near the exhaust flange, and as well, near the "merge" for the front and rear head pipes. If you have someone who's a good tig welder, they can usually patch it, but that's only a short term solution, you're better off replacing them if this is the problem.

Try that but if hubby thinks its from the pushrod tube also check at the top of the tube to see if the retaining clip that holds the tube at extension is still there, I would think there would be oil in evidence if it was that tho. Other thought is blown head gasket.

Head gasket was worse case senario, and rear head is the hardest to get off.
As long as you got it off take the front off also had get them ported OR pretty easy to slide the jugs off once the heads are off, Maybe a Fuelmoto 107" is in the cards. OR-- I guess ill stop there, good luck on your fix.
