has anyone bought the J&S trike lift

Looks study enough, especially with the guy getting on the Trike while it's on the Jack up in the air. Unfortunately access to drain's for tranny, oil are limited by the jack itself. I found it easier to just go to Harbor Freight and buy their car ramps. I put old bathroom rugs under the ramps to keep them from sliding on the garage floor and then just drive my TG up on them. Albeit the rise is only 10" or so but underneath I'm not restricted to anything.

I also have a Handy Shop Lift for my motorcycle that I traded in on my TG. The lift was made to accommodate wings for wider things like quads. Handy make the extension kit but instead I used 1" black pipe to support wood 2 x 12's eight feet long. Had the Trike raised up a good 30" so I could do my 1000 mile initial maintenance. While I was doing this I opted to install the SE Heavy Duty Clutch Spring and also the M6 Chain Tensioner.

Good for the Harley conversion. Haven't seen one for the Wing yet. Guess the drive up ramp is as good as it get for the Wing.

Just yesterday we were at Sam's Club (WalMart off shoot) and saw a "Hybrid Jack" had a normal lifting pad for cars, and a platform for bikes, trikes, and quads. Said 30" lift and looked like a W I D E floor jack. $99.00. Almost bought one, maybe still will.

i have the lift from js jacks, i absolutely live it. havent done any fluid changes on it yet, since my trike is still pretty new, but it works fantastically for removing wheels. after i saw a buddies vstar fall off the jack it was on and crack the front fork, i was glad i spent the extra money for the js jack. it really is as stable as the videos show, and their customer service is great. plus its made in america, which I liked.

I dont work for j&s, i am simply a really big fan of the jack i bought from them.

apologies for spelling/grammatical errors, sending this from my phone

I had one and was not very comfortable with the positioning of the jack after viewing the video many times. The video seems to position the jack parallel with the frame but I could never get to that point. It always was skewed toward the front wheel. Whether the parking brake assembly caused interference, I don't know. Others suggested pumping up the air shocks but I replaced mine with non-air shocks.
Seems better instructions could be supplied by the manufacturer. Only raised the bike maybe an inch and when your by yourself you lean toward caution more than anything else. It scared me! Sold it to a forum member, maybe he has had better luck. Have since bought a Pitbull and am waiting for better weather to try it out.

I have the Pitbull jack but need to order the trike parts for it...the J&S jack is a great jack and every bit as good as the Pitbull ...then again there is nothing like having a Handy lift...one of the best on the market...

I've had my J&S jack for over a year and I love it. I use it to store my trike off the ground during the winter months. Far as changing the oil, I use the HD drain pan that slides under the trike without the jack and it is large enough that I can open all three drain holes at the same time, saves time.

At home I have a generic no-name lift that I have been using for over 10 years. It is rated for 1500 lbs. I believe I got it from Harbor Freight. It has worked reliably all this time. I have used it on countless 2 wheelers, and it does ok with the Tri-Glides. The width of the lift rails are not as wide as I'd like for the TG.

At the shop we have a Pitbull that is an amazingly stable lift for both 2 wheelers and Tri-Glides.

From what I've seen the J&S does not go quite as high as the Pitbull, but other than that they are pretty close to the same & the quality is great with both of them.

After researching all the trike lifts, I decided on the J&S unit. Damn that thing is heavy. Took two of us to drag it out to the garage. :)

Went together pretty easy. Did a test lift and it worked fine, but needed a little finesse to make sure it cleared everything under the frame. I had to rotate the one muffler clamp a few degrees, but that was all. Couple months later I needed to lift the TG to change wheels. Didn't get it completely centered and really pressured the lever and broke the top cable fitting. Contacted J&S and they immediately sent me a replacement fitting. Second try was successful.

Changed out my summer wheels/tires for my winter wheels/tires with no problems. That is all I want this jack to do, so how high it goes doesn't make much difference to me as long as I can get the rear wheels off.

It's pretty stable and easy to roll around.

If you buy this jack make absolutely sure you have the platform rails centered correctly under the frame. ThumbUp
