Harley Trike or Goldwing

Hey Memnoch451.....I thought you rode a Goldwing, but it seems I've seen you post on a lot of the Harley Trike threads ( mostly negative I might add). So what is it with you? Do you hate Harleys so bad that you spend alot of your time on the Harley side just so you can add some snide remark or mayby deep down inside you really wish you had one? Come on, you know do!!!

I Own a 2010 Ultra that is triked. Harley Davidson Makes one of the best looking motorcycles on the planet ( other than an old Indian ) HD has issues and while it may be a good looking bike it's not a Goldwing when it comes to power, smoothness of getting that power to the pavement and engineering.

My wife enjoys the Goldwing more and since I like my wife kinda a lot I tend ride the Goldwing more. If you own a Harley you know it has certain characteristics that might be thought of as FLAWS to other brand owners.

I thought most of my comments were backed up with statistical facts and if you can find a report on the internet that shows that Harleys are indeed a better high mileage bike I would read it and your premise would be valid.

You also need to remember this is the internet and there is a little bit of tongue in cheek going on in my posts. :p

I too was on Goldwings forever, and I had a new 2009 GW with the CSC conversion. Worst mistake I ever made. The dealer I bought it from did the conversion, and after I started having trouble with it, he all of a sudden didn't want to stand behind the warranty. Problem after problem, so after taking it back to him 14 times with the same problem, he agreed to buy it back from me. I took the money and ran. I am now on a 2011 Tri-Glide, and really like it. It is a little hot at times, but you will get use to it. The ride is a little stiffer, but it does really well in the twisty’s. If I did want a GW, I would definitely trike an older on, say a 2004 or 2005, in 2006 they made some changes to the internal works of the motor, and there for have a lot of noise now.
