Harley tri-glide LED tailights and hitch

Hey everyone:
This is my first time on Trike Talk. I have a problem with our 2012 Tri-Glide and hope someone can help me out. I am in the process of installing LED tail lights to our Tri-Glide. I know that I need to plug in the module to the regular wiring harness. But I also would like to install a Rivco trailer hitch which it looks like you have to use the same plugs on the harness for the plug and play wiring for the hitch. Can anyone help me with what I need to do electrically to make them both work without worrying about overheating something or blowing fuses? The trailer I have is an Aluma MCT and it has a 5 plug wiring. Any possible solutions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for everyones help and am glad to be a new member. Thor.

welcome aboard glad you joined us. I think you might be able to connect them in line. I would try the without the module for the leds and see if the flash rate is okay. If not then add the module before the trailer adapter. Just how I would look at it.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and answers. It will take me a little while to get used to Trike Talk because I am not that computer savy but I do appreciate the inforamation already received. Thanks again!

Welcome to Trike Talk from Southeast Missouri.:wave4: LED's don't take much current so you should be able to connect them in line like Gorilla was saying I'm not a Harley owener but I would think it would work without any problems.

Have a 2009 Triglide. Have a Riveco hitch 5-pin to a Starlight trailer. Have Ride Time Technology LED lights on the trike. Have Tour pak wired for turn and brake lights with LED lights. So far everything has been fine. Was told I didnt need to get a module.

Thanks so much for the info. I will try the LED's without the module and if they work okay I will go ahead with the wiring for the hitch. I have an Aluma MCT triler and that has LED lighting as well so it shouldn't draw much. Thanks again everyone.

i installed the led tail lights on my tri-glide and i pull a trailer that also has led lights , i got the light kit from kuryakyn and wired per there instructions , then I got an adapter from auto parts store and it plugged into the trailer plug and i've had no problems. and also i have the pulsating brake controller which makes my trailer lights work that way too, don't know of any module used , took a trip last year up north and had no problem
