Harley Radio

Yes, Wiz. on the 2010 TG

I am going to call my dealer a little later today and have him order a replacment so I can take it in and have the swap done in one day.

If it was not in warranty I would consider doing something different.

They will send you a reman unit, but I guess you already know this.

I tried the something different and was pleased but I lost CB and Intercom so I had Iron Cross rebuild mine and sold the something different.

Be sure they check your fairing support brackets for a crack. Sometimes the vibrations will crack these support brackets and shake the radio so the cold solder joints break internally. Again, you probably already know this.

I've had my TG for a year and 1/2 and really didn't listen to the radio. I decided I wanted to on a trip and man....that thing sucks! Drove me nuts.
The radio on George's 06 UC sounds a lot better. I'll do without thank you very much! Interesting, when we use the Scala communication, I can hear George's radio loud and clear! Works for me.

31,000 miles on my Electra Glide Classic, no radio problems to report. I did install Sirius radio via the Aux port and J&M speakers in the fairing. I listen most every time I ride. Love Classic Vinyl, Classic Rewind, Deep Tracks, and The Bridge channels.

Glad I got a good radio :)

I'm surprised, the radio on my TG seems to have more power than the one on my 06 Ultra. I'm normally using the AUX port listening to my GPS which also has the XM Radio add on.

OK, I am fresh back from the dealership with y tail between my legs.

To be honest, if I could find a raido with a round knob to turn up the volume and another round know to change the channels that is what I would have.

Seems I got the raido set on CB and when someone in close distance to me keyed their mike my raido would cut out.

THe tech set my raido and honestly it has never sounded better than the ride home.

On the negitive side he was not able to make the seat any more confortable or the engine any cooler.

I git a real good lead on someone looking to buy one while I was gone. Meeting him and his wife later tonight. Also picked up an oil filter for the wife's new ride while I was there.

Southern Man, you got me. I read through the whole thread to see if anybody would mention the CB keying on. Nobody until you. It took me 50 miles to figure out that one.
On the plus side, I have ridden my 2010 Tri-Glide in torrential downpours and the radio kept working fine. Also NYC potholes.
My '04 electraglide radio started fritzing after riding through a particularly bad lightning storm. The extended warranty replaced it. fairing brackets also kept cracking on that bike. Warranty replaced all those also. Of course, it didn't help that I strapped things to the fairing for long trips (sometimes you need your 34 lb. inflatable kayak).
