Harley Harmon Kardon Radio Issue

I'm trying to isolate a recurring problem with the old style HK radio (up to '13 model).

My radio cuts out either on the speakers or the helmet speakers intermittently. I've had the radio replaced recently but I think it might be the dashboard switch; not sure though. The radio even when not putting out sound has the radio station visible on screen, so it does not just go blank. If I turn the radio off and then back on, then it works again. If I flip the switch on the dash, it comes back on again as well.

Yesterday the front speakers cut out, and the back ones were still on. It is more like a lose connection powering the speakers, but I'm wondering where to start first.

Any ideas?

With the radio already replaced that takes that off the list. May be the Switch, Wiring or a Short in the Grounding.

The Fix...

I found this from Mr Wizard from a while back:

"The radio works just fine but will cut out for a few seconds to a few minutes after 10 to 30 minutes of playing time. This will be a vicious cycle of play time vs silence. Some have stated they can turn off the radio then back on but it will simply go back to the cycle again. There is no fix. More on this below."

Looks like I'm sending it to Iron Cross for repairs. After talking to IC, they said it was probably due to broken fairing supports, which I have had and have replaced.
