Kustom FX
(This was also posted on the “Tri Glide” group)…
KustomFX, LLC now has “Trike Rear Lift adapters”.
These will only fit the Harley Davidson Tri Glide, Freewheeler and RG3 Trikes.
All of our HD trikes have these rear “links” welded underneath on both sides, which is used for tie down points when trailering them.
This is also a perfect lifting point to lift up the rear of our trikes, BUT that “link” is a small obstruction there….
These heavy duty 1/4” thick “lift adapters” have an offset slot to allow that “link” to set through and perfectly position them to lift up our trikes SAFELY for performing wheel & tire removal, cleaning and maintenance.
Some have used 4x4 blocks of wood, (and have done so successfully… so far). There is nothing wrong with a DYI wooden block and reinforcing it… but a good friends personal experience had his wooden block split and caused a minor accident…. Luckily he did not get injured, although minor damage to his trike.
So this sparked an interest to manufacture a heavy duty -all steel-alternative that will basically last a lifetime of use… and safely!
Attached are pics and also a YouTube video link on using these along with some quick tips and tricks.
