I thought I would get used to the brake pedal and hard braking of my Road Hawk. But I am getting really tired of my right leg being wore out by the end of a ride, and not getting the braking I would like. I know I won't be able to lock it up if necessary (already tried that). I have read the threads on here, and don't totally understand the changing of the master cylinder to a 11/16" bore one. I have looked and can't seem to find one, I see some have used metric size bore cylinders, but not sure of the size. Any help appreciated. I can't change the angle or length of the brake pedal due to the way the trike is made.

A lot a variables with brakes. Looks like VW brakes on the rear......drum or disc? Two disc on the front? What master cylinder does it have and are both front and rear brakes plumbed into it? I plumbed front dual disc and rear VW drums into a stock VW master cylinder and I have great brakes, stops on a dime. It didn't even require a proportioning valve like some do. I'd say bleed the system and if you have VW drums on the rear make sure they are adjusted correctly and make sure the wheel cylinders are in working condition. Make sure the pistons aren't sticking in the disc brake calipers. If you have a stock VW master cylinder make sure the push rod is adjusted correctly, I've heard if it is adjusted too tight it will cause a hard pedal. Post some pictures if you can so people can see what you got.ThumbUp
