I have a Motor Trike kit on my VTX 1300 Honda. The kit is fiberglass. I would like to install some handles on either side of the buddy seat, to make it a little easier for Mamma to get on and off. But, I'm afraid after a few times pulling on it, the fiberglass will start to break away.

I looked at a Lehman kit on a Yamaha C50 a few weeks ago. It had handles, and it looked great, but I don't recall if the body was fiberglass or metal.

Any input would be appreciated. And if it's a good idea, where can I get the handles?

all trike bodies are fiberglass. u would have to add reinforcement behind the handle and use big washers

Yep you'll need to reinforce the area where the handles bolt on. You could use chrome fender washers between the handle and glass body top side and again on the under side. Or run a single plate covering the underside for reinforcement. Once snugged up tight I doubt you'll have any probles afterwards.

you might want to look at a large marine supply store. you might find something that will work for you. stainless or high quality chrome. a good size plate on the back side will go a long ways towards a secure installation.
