Hi

The manual says set the bars to 4” from a straight line developed from the windshield bushings.

Seems like a lot of “rake” to the bars.

Anyone else set their bars to this number?

Thanks

There are numerous videos on YouTube on adjusting your bars. Mine are set about like that, but thats me. Sit on your seat, arms down, shut your eyes for 5 seconds, then reach for your hand grips & open your eyes.

That's where your bars should be adjusted to.

I feel that the 4" measurement is just an arbitrary number so that they will have a uniform look at the dealership. The measurement on mine is only about 1" because reaching forward seems to prevent the lower back pain I get when I ride in a more upright position. I know that the upright or leaning slightly back position is more natural but it doesn't work for me. In the end, I believe it's not about your machine or someone on a forum but about what works for you.

Thanks, Gerald, good point on the leverage. I'm just glad :) that adjusting them forward works for me and that I don't feel the need to change out the bars. I've replaced enough bars for this lifetime.
